I am originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico and enjoy visiting family there. I have lived in Texas in the Dallas area for most of my life. As a bilingual speech-language pathologist, I have enjoyed providing speech and language evaluation services for our Spanish speaking community for over 20 years.

My name is Magdalena Padilla, Certified Bilingual Educational Diagnostician since 2007 with a passion for working with bilingual students. I have a total of 26 years working in education in the state of Texas. Nine of those years as a bilingual teacher and seventeen as a Diagnostician. I also worked in Mexico as a professor and teacher coordinator for twelve years at the University of Chihuahua Mexico prior to moving to Texas. During my years in education I have developed a strong set of skills including conducting bilingual evaluations, working with special education staff, parents and recently working with younger kids with disabilities. My current work is centered on bilingual evaluations for child find, but I am always looking for new ways to learn. When I am not working, you can find me spending time with my family, traveling and discovering new places, or just spending time with myself.

My extensive background includes conducting comprehensive evaluations for high school students and individuals transitioning beyond graduation, and I remain committed to staying current on the latest assessment trends and methodologies. I am well-versed in special education federal law and passionate about supporting students, families, and educators through peer mentoring and professional training. Additionally, I have served as a school board member of The Ranch Academy, a charter school in Canton, TX, for over 20 years.
I currently reside in Dallas with my 11-year-old Shih Tzu, Maximus. When I’m not working, I enjoy reading, antiquing, traveling both domestically and abroad, cooking, and exercising.
